Step 1:Create an Account
First, create a RunC account. 1.Register here. (opens in a new tab) 2. Your email address needs to be verified.
Step 2: Recharge Your Account
Go to the Top-up (opens in a new tab) in the console, fill in the initial recharge amount (the minimum is $10), click "Top up Immediately", and then follow the selected payment process. After completion, the recharge amount will be added to your account and displayed in the personal center at the upper right corner.
Once your balance is used up, your instance will be recycled and released according to the recycling rules. To prevent this from happening, you can enable Recycling Alert and Balance Alarm on the Settings page. You will receive message reminders when the conditions are met.
Step 3: Deploy an Instance
Now that you have completed the account recharge, you can start creating your first instance:
- Enter the instance list (opens in a new tab)
- Click “Deploy”
- Select the required type and configuration from the graphics card list
- Select the image. The instance corresponding to Container image is Docker container instance, and reinstalling Docker is not supported; the instance corresponding to System image is virtual machine instance, and you can install Docker by yourself
- If you need to mount object storage, you need to create a Bucket first. Click here (opens in a new tab). After creation, click "Refresh" and select the mount
- Enter a name in the Instance Name field
- Select the Billing Cycle that meets your needs
- Click "Deploy Now"
Step 4: Usage
If the image is cached, your instance should load within a minute or less, depending on the situation. If the image is not cached, it will go through the downloading stages, which may take anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour, depending on the internet speeds. Once the loading is completed, the instance will start up. If the image you are using has an "Open" button, it will change from "Connecting" to "Open" once the application starts responding on the port. If your image uses SSH or Jupyter, you can access them via their respective buttons on the instance control panel.
Step 5: Terminate
Ensure that you terminate the instances after you have finished using them.
